Guggenheim, Bilbao

Wednesday, 15th August '12
So, my day in Bilbao was quite average. I woke up relatively early and made my way over to the Guggenheim. I noticed along the way that everything was closed. Turns out it was a public holiday. I walked around the Guggenheim, taking crappy pictures with my phone. It looked like it was going to rain, so I didn't bring my camera. Finally finding myself on the other side of the river, looking at the Museum. It's even more beautiful than I realised. I love the way it shines and the colour of the metal. It's incredible. So I sat on a bench for about five minutes, then it started raining and my moment of magic was over.

I found a fancy pants cafe in a hotel opposite the Guggenheim and had literally the most delicious hot chocolate I've ever had.

I then went back to my hostel and watched Parks and Rec all afternoon. I also bought some groceries, arrived back at the hostel to discover that their 'kitchen' consisted of ONLY microwaves. So I made myself ravoli... in the microwave. Who knew?
