Hamburg [Part 2]

Saturday, 19th May '12

The following morning, we slept quite late and didn't leave till just before midday. We took all our stuff, checked in at our Hostel for the Saturday night and left our luggage there. From there we met Marlene and her friends again at Sternschanze for brunch. I had a crepe and the biggest, most delicious juice of freshly squeezed juice. Orange, strawberry and banana.

After delicious food, we walked around the harbour for a while. Walked through the tunnel under the Elbe river, and then took a ferry around the harbour.

After this, we went to Häagen-Dazs on the harbour for some Kaffee und Kuchen. I had a toffee cheesecake there that changed my life. My god, it was so good. Definite highlight of the trip, it was soooo good!! So expensive, but so good!!!

Fish Brot - grossssss 

After a long day of walking around, we returned to the hostel to have a nap before our "big night out" in Hamburg. I ended up spending the time watching GSL finals, and didn't get any sleep. We met at Reeperbahn around 11 or so, and went to a bar and danced for a few hours. After that we went for a walk around the Reeperbahn, saw all the prositutes, sex shops, clubs etc. It was a weird street, I felt like I was in Kings Cross again, honestly. They even had their own coke sign.

Sowon, Nicole and I ended up leaving at about 1:30am as we were tired and Sowon felt sick. So we ended up back at the hostel and soon fell asleep. That was our big night out in Hamburg. haha
