On Thursday (I think it was Thursday?), I stayed home most of the day with Nicole and Sowon. I baked a berry pie and at night, Sowon made Ramen for Nicole and I. It was a joyous day of just total chillaxing... and food. Honestly, perfection.
I'm not happy at all with how the pictures came out. The pastry was messy, I did the lattice pattern wrong, and because of the sugar in the sauce, the pie looks black and burnt... even if it didn't taste burnt at all. Also, by the time we got about to eating the ramen, the light was almost gone, so they're more happy snaps than anything else.
Saturday, 12th May '12
Saturday was a busy day to say the least. During the day mostly played games as had to wait for my landlady to come and check out my broken fridge. Afterwards, I rode my bike to Tiergarten where some friends of Sowon's were holding a Korean Food Party. I didn't take any pictures, so I'm just going to casually steal some from the other people that were there.
There were so many people there, and they all got really drunk. I don't care how racist it makes me. Asian people really do get red when they drink, and they're so cute and funny when they drink. They get so enthusiastic about it all, my god! Nicole and I left Sowon passed out in one of the girls beds.
We agreed to meet later that night to go to Nica's flat to pre-drink and then party. We were at Nica's flat with some of her boyfriend's friends, and we didn't end up leaving to go out till about 1am or so. We ended up going to Ritter Butzke again, though without Nica. So Nicole and I spent most of the night with people we didn't know, it was weird. haha A highlight of my evening was when we somehow pushed into the line without anybody noticing or saying anything - what the fuck!! haha.
While in the club we met "Amelie", a French exchange student studying medicine. She was so hot, my god. I spent all night flirting with her. I know she was straight, but it was still fun. A stand out moment at Ritter was when we walked out to go to the bathroom in another room and it was already daylight. That was so surprising! When the hell did that happen!?
One surprising thing to come out of the evening was when I texted "Amelie" a few days later. I find out she is actually Clara, she is German and she was super drunk and lied to us all night about who she was.
I always find the idea of making up an identity for strangers to be appealing, but actually being a part of it feels really weird and creepy somehow. I also feel so ridiculously betrayed, not sure why but I do.
Also, new word: "Mushi" is a german pet name for the vagina. The things I learn here.

Sunday 13th May -Present
Sunday was a complete write-off. I slept, literally, the entire day. I woke up in time for dinner. Monday and Tuesday were also a write-off, as I spent the whole day doing my literature review on organic food. It was actually an interesting topic, maybe I'll post it if I get a good mark.
Random side note. At some point I took some random photos of my herbs and Nicole's scarf. Observe:

I'm jealous of your baking! I can't do any baking here! I'm gonna go a baking binge when I get home.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Mushi is the Japanese word for insect. :)
