Venice, Italy [Part 2]

Sunday, 23rd September '12
I met a lady from Singapore who was also travelling by herself, so we teamed up on the Sunday to visit the neighbouring islands. She was very lovely and she helped motivate me to actually branch out and spend the whole day looking at stuff. It's much easier when you're with somebody.

We went first to Burano, known for Venetian lace. It's a super teeny tiny island, you could walk across it in like 20 minutes, and it's really colourful. We went into the museum for lace and there was this super old lady sitting there making this lace with a needle. It was so cute.

Afterwards we headed to Murano, the glassware capital of the city, and had lunch. Afterwards we walked around to the island, looked into some of the glass stores and then in the museum. The museum was awesome.
This was my favourite piece. It was a garden made of glass... So cool!

Afterwards we went back to the main island and looked at a church, Rialto Bridge again and then THE DISNEY STORE!
