Venice, Italy [Part 1]

Saturday, 22nd September '12
I really can't remember how many days I was in Venice for. According to my messages, I think I was there for two days. Anyway, I arrived around sunset on Friday and it took me a little bit of time to get to my hostel. The hostel was run by this really skinny, creepy guy who made you pay extra for every tiny little thing. He was weird. Anyway, I was feeling super tired and down so I didn't do much.
Anyway, the Saturday was spent walking around to various known points on the island. It is easy as anything to get lost in this place... so... easy. I got lost so many times - but apparently that's the charm of the place. I just got mad... but that's me I guess. I'm sort of a "you've seen ten canals, you've seen 'em all" type of gal.

I walked to the San Marco square, where the basilica was and the pier and everything. On the way I saw the Rialto Bridge where they have twenty million high-end jewellery stores. Afterwards I took the main water ferry along the Canal Grande until the station and then walked back from there.
