Semi-Successful Macarons...

I used this recipe to make some macarons. Everytime I try to make them, I somehow screw them up spectacularly... I can't say this time was overly different...

This time, it wasn't the mixture I got wrong. Turns out I just piped out the macrons like a grade A retard. They were all uneven in size, and apparently Oval = Circle to my brain. I also used my French Earl Gray tea, but the leaves are quite large and are hence unpleasant when you eat the macarons. So next time I will crush them into much smaller pieces.

I've learnt so much from this. The feet formed, the texture across the top is exactly as it should be. After I saw the mess I made of the piping, I didn't bother making a filling. haha Next time... next time. :D

  1. It took me three goes at it before I got the technique down, and I still learn more every time I make them!

    They look delicious though!
